The Bible tells us that the Isrealite nation was in a battle with the Philistine people. Goliath was the champion for the Philistines. He challenged the Isrealite people daily and all the men were affraid of him. Who shall we send as our chamopion, asked King Saul. David, a young boy of about 12 years old, volunteered. With his leather sling, a single small stone, and great faith in God, David slayed the giant. This image reminds us that we can do the same with a bit of faith and preperation.
