I was asked to create images for a project on diversity and inclusivity. I pondered for weeks as to what to paint, and when I entered my studio, hearts began pouring out of me. I couldn't stop! LOVE is the universal language. It encompasses all of us.
I painted "divine LOVE" on lavender satin acrylic inspired by my lavender dream--a walk with God. Divinity.
Violet/lavender is the color of enlightenment, grace, and divine love. There's just something about lavender that penetrates into my soul. I can feel it when I paint on it and with it. A reverent peace comes over me. It's a very sacred color to me. Leonardo Da Vinci said, “Our power will increase tenfold if we meditated under the violet stained glass windows in the cathedral.” I just love that.
