The painting was inspired by Liz Lemon Swindle’s trip to the set of The Chosen in Texas for the filming of the Feeding of the 5,000 in early summer of 2022. Here, Liz sets the stage for one of Christ’s best known miralces. In the center is the basket containing the five loaves and two fish. Surrounding it are the soon to be overflowing baskets the disciples will use to disperse the meal and feed the famished crowds.
