On the sixth day, mammals were placed on the land and then humankind. Of the land mammals, the Lamb is the symbol of Christ. The sixth day saw the creation of animals and humankind, the crown of earthly life. At the center of this day stands Christ as the Lamb of God, who not only created life but gave His own to redeem it. The fullness of creation points forward to His sacrifice and victory.
